What an incredible year we’ve had! Bookending the year with the beautiful Fairfield Amphitheatre events featuring Harps of the World in February and the Bold and Brilliant women musicians from our Indian community this November, the whole year was full of excellent music and connections.

The Boite Portfolio was a huge success yet again. We supported 14 emerging culturally diverse and First Nations acts (90 musicians altogether) culminating in the Leaps and Bounds Festival event.

Boite Schools Chorus returned with gusto after a break forced by the pandemic. We were proud to support the creation of "Maiem – Songs of the Torres Strait"; by our esteemed artistic directors, proud Meriam artists Deborah Lowah-Clark and Luke Captain. Conducted by the inimitable Stella Savy, this event was covered on SBS World News, making 600 children super excited. (cont. in the next post)

The Boite is in the Australian Music Vault! We're thrilled to announce that our work, alongside a few other chosen music organisations, is now prominently displayed at the Arts Centre. It's truly an honor to be featured in a museum setting. 
Being acknowledged at such a prestigious level is undoubtedly gratifying, but it's important to note that our ongoing efforts still rely on the generous support of our community. Over the past 44 years, The Boite has strived to bring exceptional musicians to the stage who may not always have access to performance opportunities. To continue presenting these extraordinary talents, we need your support.
As the financial year draws to a close, there are only two days left to make a tax-deductible donation to our general program or specific campaigns.
